GNIST (SPARK)

The oceans and rivers around the world used to bind people together, not separate us. The oceans remind us we are dependent on nature, even needing to work together with nature, and of our smallness. Oceans are often representative of the unconsciousness, and I believe it is a call to get in touch with the deeper matters inside us, things that connect us all on deep level. I want to carry these thoughts forward into the future. The common thread for my journeys has been meeting points based on where the vikings travelled. We know that the vikings (The Majus) came to Nekor (today Rif) in 859 AD and stayed there for 8 nights. This could form the starting point for a narrative of conflict, trust and cultural exchange. My working title for this project is GNIST (Spark in English) as I believe the tension created in these meeting is the spark of innovation.

My musical world involve elements like
-Pre recorded material played from computers. This includes both sound design and musical elements
-Live musical improvisations
-Collaborations with local painters, dancers, poets and storytellers.
-VJ and lighting design
